Our step-by-step process below shows you just how simple it is to get started with building your new granny flat.

Step 1 – ENQUIRY
Quote Acceptance & Signup/Deposit: 4 weeks
Building Licence Received: 4 – 12 weeks
First inspection and report by registered builder: 1 week
Step 2 – SITE VISIT
If you require a site visit, we can send one of our Project Managers out to assist you. We can also liaise with the Council about your application and manage all paperwork.
Step 3 – DESIGN
The Superior Choice Granny Flats Design team will meet with you to discuss your ideas and preferences, helping to create the final design. Once you are satisfied with the design, our in-house Interior Designer will meet you to discuss your preferences regarding the colour palette and finishes, including carpet, tile and window treatments. A colour and finishes moodboard is then created for you to review, with a final round of decisions being made.
Step 4 – Build
Site Works: 3 weeks
Granny Flat Construction: 2 – 3 weeks
Second inspection and report by registered builder: 1 week
Step 5 – FIT OUT
Fitout: 1 – 2 weeks
Third inspection and report by registered builder: 1 week
Step 6 – MOVE IN
Extra Works: 1 week
Final inspection and report by registered builder: 1 week
